5 Non-Alcoholic Cocktails that hit the spot [Recipes]

A party's not a party without sophisticated cocktails. And why should the boozers get all the fun? Designated drivers, teetotalers, and under 18s need a sparkle, too. So here are 5 recipes for non-alcoholic cocktails everyone will love!

Shirley Temple

Let's get the popular classic out of the way first. Tried and tested. Everyone loves it.

10 ml (a dessertspoon) Grenadine
Topped up with lemonade or ginger ale
Garnish: candied cherries, and anything frilly and flambouyant!

Disco Sour

OK. Now let's move on to something a bit more zingy. This will tickle your taste buds!

10 ml (a dessertspoon) like cordial
5 g (a teaspoon) sherbet powder
Juice of half a lime
Topped up with 7UP
Garnish: sour sticks, of course!

Mangtini

Yummy. The height of sugary sophistication.

Frost the rim of the glass with lemon juice and sugar.
Mango nectar or juice
Dash of Grenadine syrup carefully drizzled down the side of the glass so it settles at the bottom.

Chemical Brother

We're big fans of Vimto (because we're from up north!) You can use Ribena if you're completely and utterly southern.

Vimto cordial
Several blackberries muddled with fresh rosemary
Topped up with soda water

PiƱata Colada

Who can resist pineapple? So squelchy and good for digestion, or so we heard.

1 part coconut cream
2 parts pineapple juice
Shake it, baby!
Garnish: a wedge of pineapple, maybe even an umbrella!
